Here are some projects I have done with Kumihimo Braiding. Get started with a kit which provides everything you need to make a 25" long 8-strand braid. For a longer braid, order additional supplies.

Here are some guidelines for measurements:

  8" bracelet: Start with 18" for each cord.

15" double-wrapped bracelet: Start with 36" for each cord.

22" necklace or wrapped bracelet: Start with 54" each cord (provided in kit).

42" double wrapped necklace: Start with 104" each cord.

The general rule is to start with cords that are 2.5 times longer than the desired finished length.
